Championship Weekend!!!!!

Saints vs Bears--This should be a good game. The stingy Bears defense against the explosive Saints offense. If the Saints can keep the ball to themselves their offense should do the rest. If they feel like giving it to the Bears then it is going to be a long day.

The Bears defense has been kinda Jekyll and Hyde this year. The beginning of the year (the first 8 games or so) their defense was unbelievable. They stopped the run and the pass and took the ball away with ease no matter who they were playing. The rest of the season they were a still better than most other teams defenses but they were the dominating force they were in the beginning of the season. Now I know they have had a few key injuries--Tommy Harris being the major one--has effected them to some extent, but if they can regain the intensity and nastiness of the beginning of the season this game will be a nightmare for the Saints.

The Saints offense can gain yards by both passing and running with their exciting offense. Drew Brees has had an amazing season thanks to Bush, Colston, Henderson and Copper. Moving the ball at will in almost every game, no matter the defense. However, the last defense they played that was even remotely close in ability, the Dallas Cowboys, they didn't do shit. The Saints offense has to hold onto the ball against this defense or it will be over before they know it.

The Bears defense will return to their beginning of the season form and harass Brees all day. The Saints will not I predict the Saints will not be able to hold onto the ball and will turn it over either by interception or fumble 5 times. The Bears will win 31-21.

Patriots vs Colts--This should be the game of the day. Manning can't seem to be able to beat the Patriots in the playoffs and the Patriots rarely lose to anybody come playoff time. Two great teams with very potent offenses that can score at any time. The Patriots defense is much better than the Colts, although the Colts 'D' has been playing well above their ability during these playoffs.

The Patriots are the best playoff team ever. 12-1 in the Belichick/Brady era, 10 playoff wins in a row and 3 out of the past 5 Super Bowls. I can't think of any other team that has had a run like that. Tom Brady is one of the best quarterbacks under pressure and in playoff games that has ever played the game. I think the Patriots will be able to move the ball with ease on the Colts defense and score lots of points.

The Colts offense is even better than the Patriots, but their defense isn't as good. Peyton Manning has had a terrible playoffs so far. If Manning can stop his interceptions and the Colts can hold onto the ball then they should be able to pass with ease. Their running game will be non-existent. I think Peyton will have another bad playoff game and will not be able to lead his team to victory.

Patriots will win this one 31-21.
